There are 16 different positions that you can volunteer for during each race. Below are brief descriptions of the positions including the number of people needed for each one:

Registration (need 6): Report at 7:45 am to the main lodge. Responsibilities - check racers off on official seed list, and hand out bibs. Registration ends at 9:00 am.

Starter 9 & Older (need 1): Report at 8:45 am to gatekeepers meeting at bottom of racecourse. The starter is posted at the top of the hill in the Start House. Responsibilities - communicate w/announcer at bottom of hill via headset & start the racer on the course when cleared to do so.

Starter 8 & Under (need 1): Report at 8:45 am to Under Eight Start Line. Responsibility - start racer on the course when the course is clear.

Gatekeeper 9 & Over (need 4): Report at 8:45 am to gatekeepers meeting at bottom of racecourse. Responsibilities - stationed along the racecourse on the hill, observe racers as they proceed through the assigned gates, record the bib number of racer who fails to pass through the assigned gates on the Gate Judge Card, help with gate maintenance when necessary, notify Chief of Course of DSQ's & other problems.

Gatekeeper 9 & Over - Finish Line Judge (need 1): Report at 8:45 am to gatekeepers meeting at bottom of racecourse. Responsibilities - stationed on the hill at the end of the racecourse, observe racers as they proceed through the last 2 gates and the finish line, record bib number of racer who fails to pass through assigned gates or finish line on the Gate Judge Card. Also, officiate all racer discrepancies and calls for racer returns.

Timer 8 and Under (need 2): Report at 8:45 am to the Under 8 Finish Line. Responsibility - time individual Under 8 Racers.

Recorder 8 & Under (need 2): Report at 8:45 am to the Under 8 Finish Line. Responsibility - record the race times of the Under 8 Racers on the Under 8 Official Seed List.

Announcer 9 & Older (need 1) :- Report at 8:45 am to race shack at bottom of racecourse.  Responsibilities - communicate with Starter at top of hill via headset, and announce racers on the course & finish times.

Chief of Course (need 1): - Report at 8:45 am to gatekeepers meeting at bottom of racecourse. Responsibilities - collect the Gate Judge Cards from gatekeepers after each age group races, deliver them to the Race Chair, and maintenance and safety of the racecourse.

Recorder 9 & Older (need 2): - Report at 8:45 am to race shack at bottom of racecourse. Responsibilities - record time of each racer on the official seed list and enter time of each racer onto laptop computer for official time calculation.

Calculations & Posting Under 8 (need 2): - Report at end of Under 8 Race to Race Trailer. Responsibilities - calculate times & positions of racers and post score sheets on outside bulletin board.

Ribbon Preparation Under 8 (need 2): Report at end of Under 8 Race to Main Lodge. Responsibility - write top 10 players and participants names on ribbons.

Ribbon Preparation 9 & Older (need 1): Report at end of Under 9 Race to Race Trailer. Responsibility - write top 10 players and participants names on ribbons.

Bib Collection (need 2): - Report at the end of the 1st run to the bottom of racecourse. Responsibility - collect bibs from racers as they complete their 2nd run.

50/50 Raffle (need 1): Reports to main lodge at 7:45 am. Responsibility - setup table & sell raffle tickets during Registration.

Bib Cleaning/Organizers (need 2): - Report to Race Trailer after race. Responsibility - wash bibs & place in order.
